The Avenuda variety is a representative of naked oats, the grain of which does not have a tightly adhering hull, which simplifies processing. Its origin involves the cross Avenuda × (Azur × Master). The crop is widely used in scientific research for the analysis of lipid composition and the extraction of antioxidants.

The grain is characterized by an increased content of beta-glucans. The variety is used as a model in the study of oat genotype resistance to pathogens of the genus Fusarium. The variety should be distinguished from hulled oats of the species Avena sativa that have similar names.
