The Ballance PZO variety is late-maturing and belongs to the tall (long-straw) types. During the growth process, the plant exhibits a tendency to lodging, which is characteristic of varieties with tall straw.
The primary purpose of the variety is use as a silage crop for green mass production. It can be considered as an alternative spring crop in conditions of a dry spring.
