The Corrado variety is the result of breeding work by the company Sejet Planteforædling. During trials, it demonstrated high grain yield performance compared to the control variety Adamo, as well as a high thousand kernel weight.
The plant has a low susceptibility to stem lodging when overripe. The variety shows susceptibility to oat nematodes races 1 and 2.
