The GK Kormorán variety is the first representative of black oats in the Hungarian variety assortment. The grain is characterized by a low hull content compared to traditional yellow varieties and high nutritional properties, in particular an increased iron content.

The plant possesses resistance to barley yellow dwarf virus and major fungal diseases. The variety is intended for universal use, including feed purposes and human consumption. Early sowing dates are recommended using traditional agrotechnologies.
