The variety belongs to tall-growing oat varieties. In agronomic research, it often acts as a standard variety when evaluating yield and grain quality indicators in international and regional trials.
The plant possesses stable yield in various climatic conditions and undergoes testing for resistance to diseases, in particular to crown rust. Despite its tall height, the variety has demonstrated resistance to lodging in field experiments.
The variety is of Estonian origin and was developed by the Jõgeva PBI institute. The primary purpose is grain use; the variety is also used to create forage mixtures, for example, in combination with peas.
