The variety belongs to the species Avena sativa, although in a number of sources it is classified as Avena byzantina. The plant is used as a forage crop for silage production, as well as for grain harvesting.
The variety possesses high adaptability to difficult climatic conditions, including drought and low temperatures. The crop is adapted for cultivation on acidic soils. When sowing, it is recommended to use a seeding rate in the range of 200–220 kg/ha.
