The variety belongs to the group of husked oats and is intended for traditional agricultural use, including food purposes and feed production. The genealogy of the variety shows a combination of the parent forms Quench and Belgravia.

This variety underwent approbation within the framework of breeding trials; in particular, it was examined in the United Kingdom in 2011/2012. Studies were also conducted on the suitability of this variety for use in mixed crops with cereals and legumes under the conditions of the Netherlands.
