The Orblanche variety is used in breeding work as a parent line, in particular for the development of the Russian spring oat variety Albatros.

In scientific literature, the variety is used as a subject for studying adaptability to Mediterranean cultivation conditions and for assessing resistance to powdery mildew infection.
