The variety is a spring forage oat obtained through the selection of a single outcross plant. The plant is distinguished by high stature, exceeding the height of a number of other varieties, as well as increased leaf size and the presence of equilateral panicles.
The variety possesses a very high capacity for indeterminate tillering and is intended for forage production. In field trials, the variety showed high biomass productivity and was also studied as a cover crop for nematode population management.
