The variety belongs to the winter group and is characterized by early stem elongation and early ripening. The plants of this variety are tall, and the grain has a white color.
The variety has moderate resistance to lodging and is susceptible to winterkill, as well as prone to grain sprouting in the panicle before harvest. Yield is consistently high on various soil types.
Used as food oats. Cultivation requires control of HT-2 and T-2 mycotoxin levels, which can limit the use of the crop in the food industry.
