The variety was obtained as a result of re-selection from the 'Firecracker' begonia. The plant has a compact habit with a wide bush 40–50 cm tall. The leaves are narrow, green, with anthocyanin coloration along the edges.
The flowers are single, large, resembling fuchsia flowers in shape, and are located on bright red peduncles. The flowering period lasts from late spring until autumn frosts.
The plant prefers areas with partial shade and well-drained soil. The variety is not winter-hardy and requires protection from strong winds; it tolerates heat and humidity well.
