The variety belongs to the Begonia x hiemalis hybrid group. In archival horticultural catalogs of the early 20th century, a plant with this name was described as having salmon-pink flowers with a lilac tint.
Given that variety nomenclature has undergone changes, it is difficult to reliably correlate the historical description with modern hybrids. In current agronomic references, exhaustive data on the morphology and breeding history of the variety are not provided.
