The variety belongs to the Begonia × hiemalis hybrid group and is a compact plant 20–30 cm tall and 30–45 cm wide.

The plant has red flowers. The Solenia series is characterized by increased tolerance to adverse environmental conditions, including heat and high humidity, and also possesses resistance to Verticillium wilt.
