The variety belongs to the Begonia × hiemalis Fotsch group (synonym Begonia × elatior hort.). In commercial floriculture, it is known as Solenia Light Pink and is part of the Solenia series.
The plant is intended for professional and amateur cultivation as a pot plant and can also be used for planting in gardens. Features of the series include increased resistance to powdery mildew and the ability to be grown under brighter solar illumination compared to traditional Begonia × elatior varieties.
