The plants have an upright or cascading habit, and their height in cultivation is usually about 30 cm. The flowers of the Samba series begonias are characterized by fringed edges and a double structure, visually resembling carnation flowers. The flower color varies in pink, yellow, and orange tones.

The cultivar group is distinguished by abundant flowering in the period from June to September. For cultivation, partial shade, high air humidity, and fertile drained soil are preferred. The plant is not winter-hardy, so the tubers must be dug up before the onset of frost.
