The variety Annika KWS belongs to diploid multigerm sugar beet varieties. In official EU catalogues, it is registered under various codes reflecting its affiliation with the breeding developments of the KWS company.
In comparative trials from 2013–2015, the variety was analyzed for yield, sugar content, and sugar output indicators. In a number of national variety testing programs, the variety was excluded from further research due to a lack of competitive advantages compared to new developments.
