The sugar beet variety Axxon is polyploid. The root is characterized as smooth or medium-smooth, medium in length, and the plant height above ground level is assessed as medium.

During the testing period, the variety showed sugar yield comparable to the control variety Marathon. Sugar content was determined as high or medium-high, and juice purity varied from low to medium-high. The variety showed practically no tendency to form flowering shoots.
