The variety belongs to monogerm (single-germ) forms, which were introduced into production during the 1970s–1980s to replace traditional multigerm varieties. During this period, it was actively used in the UK and other countries for industrial sugar production.
In agronomic publications of that time, the variety appeared in comparative yield trials, as well as in scientific works dedicated to pre-sowing seed preparation technologies. Currently, the variety is considered archival and has been removed from production and registration.
