The variety «Dirch» belonged to sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L. — Sugar beet). At a certain stage, it was included in the official catalogues of agricultural plants; however, in later documents, including the Official Journal of the European Union for 2021, it is listed as excluded from the register.
In addition to the primary purpose for sugar beet, the variety underwent testing within the framework of programs for studying crops for fodder purposes and bioenergy. Detailed agronomic data, such as maturity group, morphological traits, or indicators of disease resistance, are not presented in open sources.
