The Eliska variety is a diploid hybrid of the normal sugar type with regular root shape. It is characterized by high yield and stable sugar output under various cultivation conditions.
The plant possesses complex resistance to rhizomania and Cercospora leaf spot, and also exhibits tolerance to the beet cyst nematode. Due to these properties, the variety is recommended for regions with high infectious pressure.
Vegetation characteristics of the variety allow for efficient utilization of harvest dates. Under favorable conditions, late harvesting contributes to an increase in sugar content and a decrease in the level of impurities forming molasses.
