The Fantoom variety (selection number MH2018) is a diploid monogerm sugar beet hybrid. The plant is intended for industrial cultivation for the purpose of sugar production and is included in the lists of hybrids approved for use.

Plants of this variety possess resistance to rhizomania. A medium level of resistance is also noted for cercospora leaf spot (Cercospora beticola) and fungi of the genus Aphanomyces that cause root rot.
