Giraf is a genetically monogerm sugar beet hybrid. The variety is intended for industrial cultivation for sugar production and is included in the Common Catalogue of Varieties of Agricultural Plant Species of the European Union.
In field trials, the root yield of this variety was about 61,830 kg/ha. The variety is actively used as an object of scientific research to evaluate sugar content and the influence of sowing methods, in particular seed pelleting thickness, on crop emergence and productivity.
