The hybrid was developed in Bulgaria by specialists at the Agricultural Institute in the city of Shumen. It belongs to the sugar beet crop and is used primarily in breeding and scientific research programs.

In agronomic studies, this hybrid is considered a potential source of raw material for livestock, specifically, the nutritional value of its leaf mass is being studied. It is also used as a standard for comparative chemical analysis of cell wall structure.
