Mankell is a diploid monogerm sugar beet hybrid classified as an NZ-type hybrid. In terms of maturity, this variety belongs to the mid-late group.
In official European catalogs of agricultural plant varieties, the hybrid was listed as existing, however, in later editions of documents for a number of regions, its status was changed to "delisted".
