Variety description

10 August 2026

The Monohikari variety serves as a standard control sample in scientific research. In phytopathological screening, it is classified as having moderate resistance to Cercospora leaf spot and serves as a susceptible control when evaluating resistance to beet curly top virus and Fusarium wilt.

In comparative trials, the variety demonstrates good seed germination and root yield exceeding the performance of some other lines, but may be inferior to them in terms of weed competitiveness. In modern agronomy, the variety is of primarily research significance.
