The variety is intended for industrial sugar production and was classified as early-maturing. During tests in the 1970s, it demonstrated high performance in root yield, sugar harvest, and sugar content.

The roots have a conical shape with two large vertical grooves. The level of bolting varied from low to moderate depending on the region and sowing dates. In modern scientific literature, it is used primarily as a model object in agronomic experiments.
