The Posada hybrid was created within breeding programs for adaptation to high temperatures in regions where traditional temperate sugar beet varieties are ineffective. Its main cultivation zones are countries with hot climates, including Sudan, India, and Bangladesh, where the crop is used as industrial raw material for sugar production.
The main economic characteristics of the hybrid are heat tolerance and the ability to grow on saline and alkaline soils. According to field trial results, the variety demonstrates high emergence rates, root yield, and an acceptable level of sugar content when grown in warm climates.
