The variety was introduced in 1985 and was intended for cultivation in fields infested with Beet necrotic yellow vein virus, where conventional varieties showed extremely low yields. Under infested soil conditions, the hybrid demonstrated high root productivity and sugar yield.
The plant's key characteristic is qualitative resistance to rhizomania. The variety is frequently mentioned in scientific literature as an object for research and a basis for comparing genetic resistance; however, it has been replaced by newer hybrids in modern breeding programs.
