Variety description

10 August 2026

The sugar beet hybrid Roberta belongs to diploid forms of the normal type (N). The main purpose of the variety is related to sugar beet production, however, it is widely known as a model organism in genetic and physiological studies.

In agronomic research, the hybrid's susceptibility to certain diseases is noted, including susceptibility to rhizomania under certain trial conditions. Specific yield and sugar content data are practically absent in open reference databases.
