The variety is a polyploid form of sugar beet in which the proportion of triploids is about 84%. During the period of its active use, it was considered a breeding advancement compared to previously existing polyploid types.
An important characteristic of the variety is a high ability to produce monogerm plants, which allowed for a reduction in manual labor costs during crop thinning. The variety underwent comparative yield and product quality trials in various regions in the 1960s.
