The Vasco variety is used in laboratory and field experiments as a standard genotype. It is utilized for breeding pests, such as nematodes, aphids, and beet fly larvae, as well as a basis for comparative analysis of other varieties' resistance to infections.
During its registration period, the variety was distinguished by a high sugar content and excellent juice purity. It possesses resistance to beet cyst nematode, however, under experimental conditions, it demonstrates susceptibility to Cercospora leaf spot, which allows it to be used as a growth medium when studying pathogens.
