The plant is a compact upright bush with a woody stem structure, on which thorns are absent. The leaves have a simple shape, a pointed tip, and a wavy edge. Spherical inflorescences consist of many small flowers surrounded by light purple or raspberry-pink bracts.

The variety possesses a moderate or fast growth rate and the ability for abundant flowering almost year-round. The plant is adapted to both tropical climates and conditions of low light and coolness. Due to its upright shape, it is often used as a container crop for terraces and balconies.
