The variety is a compact, upright, and bushy plant, which can be grown as a multi-stemmed shrub or a vine if provided with support. A key distinguishing feature is the absence of thorns on the stems. The leaves are dark green in color, have a glossy surface, an oval or elliptical shape, and reach 5–7.5 cm in length.

The bracts are white, sometimes with a slight pinkish tint or veining, and form spherical inflorescences. The height of the plant varies from 1 to 2 meters. The variety has a moderate to rapid growth rate and is drought-tolerant once established, but is not winter-hardy and therefore requires protection from frost.

The plant is versatile in its application: it is suitable for container gardening, hanging baskets, vertical landscaping, and use as an ornamental flowering houseplant.
