The variety is the most early-maturing among the studied samples under Sicily conditions. The full biological cycle of the plant is 185 days when grown in lowland areas and 210 days in hilly areas. The plant has an erectoid stem and high adaptability to cold, drought, and heat conditions.

The purpose of the variety is industrial use: biodiesel and biofuel production, as well as the use of oilcake for biofumigation against soil pests and pathogens. In addition, processing by-products are used to create protein animal feed.
