The roots have a rounded or slightly elongated shape. Characterized by strong anthocyanin coloration of the skin, purple in color above the soil level, and yellow fine-grained flesh with a sweet taste.

The variety is a traditional heirloom variety often used in comparative studies as a base standard when evaluating the yield and dry matter output of modern hybrids. Distinguished by reliability and good performance during winter storage.
