The Nelson hybrid is a winter rapeseed bred by Syngenta, with origins linked to Swedish breeding programs. In the past, the variety was commercially available and recommended for cultivation in specific regions, particularly in Ukraine.
This genotype was actively used in scientific research to study the physiological characteristics of plants, including phosphorus uptake efficiency. At present, the hybrid is not part of the company's current production lines, having been superseded by new breeding developments.
