The variety is intended for grazing sheep and cattle in the field, with readiness for use occurring 12–14 weeks after sowing. It is often sown as a cover crop after harvesting cereals to improve soil structure and disrupt pest and disease cycles.
The plant is characterized by a high protein content (19–20%) and an energy value of 10–11 MJ/kg DM, and features large leaves. The variety is winter hardy, establishes roots quickly, and possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and alternaria (8 points out of 9 possible for each).
