The variety is classified as semi-synthetic. It was actively used as a parental component in crossing and has contributed to the pedigrees of a number of subsequent oilseed rape varieties.
In scientific research, the variety was used for studying the fatty acid composition of oil, in particular the erucic acid content, as well as an object for testing resistance to clubroot in comparative trials with more modern varieties.
