The Rebel rapeseed variety belongs to the canola type with low erucic acid and glucosinolate content. In 1990s documentation, this variety appeared in oilseed crop lists, but detailed morphological and economic characteristics were not recorded in publications.
As of today, the variety is considered obsolete and is not included in modern commercial catalogs for agricultural producers. The name is found primarily in archival registries and scientific papers dedicated to the study of seed physiology, in particular secondary dormancy of rapeseed seeds.
