Winter oilseed rape hybrids of Aquila are represented on the market by different breeding companies: medium-late hybrids (NPZ) and medium-early hybrids (Limagrain). Plants belong to the medium-height type and possess high resistance to lodging.
The hybrids possess genetic resistance to Turnip yellows virus (TuYV) and high resistance to Phoma. Tolerance to Verticillium wilt and Sclerotinia stem rot is also noted, as well as pod shatter resistance.
The produce is characterized by the absence of erucic acid, low glucosinolate content (less than 15 mmol/g), and an oil content in the range of 47–50%. The hybrids are intended for conventional cultivation technology and possess high winter hardiness.
