The winter oilseed rape hybrid Argos was bred by the breeding company Norddeutsche Pflanzenzucht Hans-Georg Lembke KG (NPZ). To create hybrids of this line, the company uses male sterility systems, including the MSL system or the Ogura system.
The NPZ breeding program, to which this hybrid belongs, is aimed at increasing seed yield and oil content, as well as improving agronomic qualities, in particular lodging resistance and resistance to pathogens.
