10 August 2026
The Caletta variety is characterized by the presence of a specific dominant resistance gene to the TuYV virus, localized in a QTL on chromosome A04. Resistance was obtained based on the resynthesized line R54.
In scientific literature, the variety is used as a reference sample in gene mapping and in breeding programs for the introgression of the virus resistance trait into elite oilseed rape lines. Seeds of the variety are suitable for the production of oil with a low glucosinolate content.
