The Libred line combined various spring oilseed rape (canola) breeding lines, such as LBD 279, LBD 2393 LL, and Libred 799 RR. These varieties were intended for food use and feed production with low erucic acid and glucosinolate content.
The technological traits of the lines varied: some variants had resistance to Liberty Link or Roundup Ready herbicides. Plant height (using the LBD 279 line as an example) was approximately 94–96 cm. Yield and lodging resistance varied depending on the specific line and trial conditions.
