The variety is classified as early or medium-early by modern standards. Its composition shows a high content of erucic acid and glucosinolates, which distinguishes it from modern canola-class varieties with low levels of these substances.
The plant is susceptible to blackleg. At the same time, the presence of epicuticular wax on the leaves provides the variety with a certain physical resistance to black spot.
Currently, the variety is practically not used in production and is more often found in scientific literature as a historical control sample for studying the genetic diversity of rapeseed and meal quality.
