The oilseed rape variety NK Beamer belongs to the “00” group with low erucic acid and glucosinolate content. In terms of reproduction type, it is a line-variety, which distinguishes it from modern hybrids.

In German variety trials of the early 2010s, the variety demonstrated indicators for yield, winter hardiness, and lodging resistance. The variety was also used in genetic research for the development of hybrid systems for fertility restoration gene mapping.
