The winter hybrid Ontario reaches a height of 165 cm and has a yield potential of 45–55 c/ha. Oil content in seeds is up to 50%. The hybrid is distinguished by its ability to withstand prolonged frosts and snowless winters, as well as high drought tolerance.

The plant is resistant to lodging and pod shattering, which allows for harvesting by direct combining. The variety possesses marked resistance to major crop diseases and is resistant to non-selective herbicides based on glyphosate.
