The variety is closely related to the Belgian "Mechelse" group and is often indicated as an alternative name for various breeding lines of this group, including Mechelse 2, 3 and 4.

Originates from the Mechelen (Malines) region, Belgium. The variety name contains an indication of early maturity, however detailed morphological and agrotechnical characteristics are absent in open publications.
