The variety was traditionally used to supply sauerkraut producers during the winter period. Currently, work is underway to preserve the biodiversity of this variety and adapt it to modern growing and consumption conditions.
The plant is characterized by its large size, with the head mass historically reaching 15 kg. Selection work is being conducted to reduce the size of the head to improve its convenience for home use. The produce is distinguished by a milder and sweeter taste compared to standard market varieties.
