The variety is a leaf form of cabbage that does not form a head. The plant is a traditional crop of the Imotski region in Central Dalmatia and is preserved by local producers through the generational passing down of seeds.

Optimal plant growth occurs in October and November. The variety is characterized by high resistance to low temperatures, with leaf flavor quality improving after the first frosts. The crop is valued for its high nutritional value and is in demand on the local market as a culinary ingredient.
