The variety has a semi-spreading leaf rosette with a diameter of 70–80 cm and an external stump height of 15–28 cm. The period from germination to technical maturity ranges from 117 to 170 days. At harvest, the leaves may have a coarse texture and a bitter taste, which disappear during long-term winter storage.
The plant possesses increased cold hardiness: seedlings tolerate frosts, and heads withstand short-term temperature drops down to -3°C. The variety is characterized by high resistance to cracking, but is susceptible to Fusarium wilt, vascular bacteriosis, gray mold, and speckled necrosis during storage.
